Downtown Information
Bands on the Bricks
Our most popular concert series returns for its 11th
year on the 1300 block of Pearl (in front of the
Courthouse). This year features a great lineup of acts
that run the gamut from Beatles covers to funk, and
dance. Bands on the Bricks kicks off June 18 through
August 20.
It's the only place in town to dance on the Bricks every
Wednesday night. You might even catch the moves of a
local break-dancing troop behind the stage. Get to the
concert early for a place on the courthouse lawn and
then let your children play in the famous pop-jet
fountain, or grab a seat in front of the stage to people
watch and check out the incredible moves of some Boulder
locals. Bands on the Bricks is truly a defining event
for the Bricks Downtown. It features some of the best
dance music in the Front Range and appeals to music
lovers of all ages.
The concert series is brought to you by First National
Bank, Keller Williams, Indian Peaks Spring Water, KBCO,
City of Boulder Parking Services, and The Camera.
Community Cycles Hosts Bike Shorts
Film Fest Community Cycles, this year's coordinator of
Walk & Bike Month, will host the second annual Bike
Shorts Film Festival. This year's film festival will be
held at the Boulder Theater on Bike to Work Day,
Wednesday, June 25, at 7:00 p.m. There will be a
selection of 12 to 14 short cycling films celebrating
the potential and fun uses of the bicycle.

West End 3k
On June 26, Downtown's own West End will host the West
End 3K road race. This is a great event for participants
as well as spectators. Many of the area's top runners
show up to test their speed on this very fast, 2-loop
course. There will also be a kids' 1,500 meter run.
Sales Tax Revenues Increase
Sales tax revenues thru April saw a jump with comparable collections up nearly
4% for Downtown. The City as a whole saw an increase of 1.8%.

Save Water, Save Money
Beginning June 1, Boulder business and institutional water customers have new
options to save money based on your chosen water budget allowing for legitimate
variations of water demand without pushing water rates into expensive penalty
pricing.
The full range of options will be reviewed at a free lunch meeting at the
Chamber on Thursday, June 26, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Call Dan Powers to RSVP at
303-442-1044 ext. 122 or
